Easy Hotel Croydon July 2019

This isn't the most glamorous hotel in London. Nor even in Croydon.

Its an old office block with the top four or so floors converted into small bedrooms.

I visited twice in two weeks. It is in a great location just across the road from East Croydon station - which is an easy journey into Central London or beyond. There is a Sainsbury's supermarket open early til late just around the corner.

It can be very good value for money. On a few occasions I've paid less than £30 which is very cheap for a place 20 minutes from the city.

On these trips. reception were very friendly and welcoming (although I don't know why they insist on ID given lots of more expensive hotels don't ask). The corridor smelt a little but the room was clean. I was put into an accessible room which is twice the size of a normal room. The normal sized rooms are pretty tiny but OK for a one night stay.

There are no real facilities in the room. No TV but you can purchase a wifi connection. But you have your own bathroom area. And unlike some EasyHotels, the rooms actually have windows!

There is now air conditioning and it works well. If you want a cheap, clean place to stay for a visit to Croydon or even to Central London, this hotel is worth considering.

But dont stay here if you are fussy and want much more than a bed and a shower.

Value for money: 10
Location: 9
Room: 5
Would I stay again: Yes
